Engineering Director Job Description

Thorens Solutions is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead our engineering department. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning and controlling the activities of the engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership for successful sales and project implementation.
  • Supervise the execution of projects upstream and downstream.
  • Maintain all drawings and documentation related to sales and project execution.
  • Prepare bills of material efficiently and in a timely manner after the sale of a project.
  • Monitor the reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements.
  • Ensure our products meet quality expectations.
  • Manage sales software developments by defining requirements, objectives, and deadlines.
  • Prepare and manage the engineering department budget.
  • Design strategies for future development projects based on overall company objectives and resources.
  • Assign clear roles and responsibilities to team members and ensure effective supervision and performance management.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of professional experience as an Engineering Manager or similar senior-level position.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university.
  • Experience managing, designing, implementing, and evaluating multiple projects.
  • Extensive experience in the design and logic controls of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and/or dehumidifiers.
  • Strong oral and written skills in French and English.
  • Excellent interpersonal, management, and communication skills.
