Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at Sterling Inn & Spa. This role involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years in a culinary environment is preferred.
  • Work Environment: This position is based in a restaurant setting.
  • Core Duties:
    • Assess food portions and associated costs.
    • Design menus and calculate food needs.
    • Order food and necessary supplies.
    • Prepare and cook a variety of meals.
    • Conduct inspections of kitchens and service areas.
    • Provide training to staff on food preparation techniques.
    • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
    • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and workspaces.
  • Inclusivity Initiatives: No prior Canadian work experience is necessary.
  • Support for Youth: Offers training to foster a welcoming environment for young individuals.
  • Indigenous Community Engagement: Cultivates relationships with indigenous communities and organizations.
