The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their Outpatient Psychiatry Team. As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality clinical psychiatric care to children and adolescents, as well as emergency department services in conjunction with the crisis team.
The successful candidate will be based at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, with potential clinics in Digby and Shelburne. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the development of innovative programs, such as the behaviour disorders and early psychosis intensive program.
Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical psychiatric care to patients under the age of 19 in the outpatient clinic
- Participate in program development and contribute to teaching programs and activities
- Offer consultations to other physicians and rural clinics
- Contribute to administrative responsibilities as assigned
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
