About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Preparing GST/QST and DAS reports, as well as payroll for clients
  • Managing and preparing T4, T5 slips, and personal and corporate income tax reports
  • Producing unaudited financial statements and participating in review engagement mandates
  • Performing other related tasks as required

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A DEC - Technical diploma in accounting
  • Between 1 and 5 years' experience in an accounting firm
  • Knowledge of tax, corporate, and personal laws and principles
  • Proficiency in software such as Caseware and Taxprep
