Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing bookkeeping tasks, preparing financial reports, and managing payroll for clients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and reconciliations
• Prepare GST/QST and DAS reports
• Prepare payroll for clients, including T4 and T5 slips
• Manage and prepare personal and corporate income tax reports
• Produce unaudited financial statements
• Participate in review engagement mandates
• Perform other related tasks as required

Requirements:

• DEC - Technical diploma in accounting
• Between 1 and 5 years' experience in an accounting firm
• Knowledge of tax, corporate, and personal laws and principles
• Knowledge of software: Caseware, Taxprep
• Ability to analyze and synthesize
• Attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with customers
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Time management and respect for deadlines
• Autonomy in relation to responsibilities
