Primary Care Provider

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Corporate Health Services team at Rogers Communications. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced primary and specialty nursing care to our employees, while also developing and leading programs to promote the physical and mental well-being of our workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Provide autonomous diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medications, and performing medical procedures.
- Manage and direct comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families, consulting with physicians or other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Lead the development and implementation of education and awareness programs, focusing on physical and mental health, chronic illness management, and wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Wellbeing, Health and Safety, and Workplace Experience, to support the Rogers Employee Value Offering.
- Work with the Corporate Health Services team to improve workflow, empower staff, and enhance day-to-day office function.
- Master's degree in Nursing and valid certificate as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in Primary Health Care.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN(EC).
- Membership in Nurses Association of Ontario organizations relevant to the role.
- Extensive experience in assessment of patients in emergency situations, knowledge of defibrillator use, and current healthcare provider level CPR and First Aid Certificate.
- 3-5 years RN +/- NP experience in Emergency Services preferred.
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner, produce high-quality work, and exercise initiative and good judgment.
- Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with demonstrated coaching, mentoring, and presentation skills.
- Client service-oriented, with ability to work with diversity and appreciate differences in opinions, backgrounds, and characteristics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent customer service skills and commitment to collaborative practice.
- Flexibility to work at different locations as required.
