The Screed Operator is a critical member of our paving team, responsible for ensuring the quality of our finished products. This role requires attention to detail, a high degree of quality of work, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the depth and width of the asphalt to exact specifications, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Shovel asphalt into holes and areas inaccessible to the paving machine, maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Provide excellent internal customer service, exceeding expectations and building strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Follow all safety, compliance, and environmental requirements, adhering to company standards and best practices.
  • Perform related work as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to teamwork.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a paving screed operator, with a proven track record of quality work and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime, nights, and in all weather conditions, demonstrating a strong work ethic and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
