Position Overview

As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Prattco Excavating, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various heavy machinery in a variety of settings. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment functionality and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role

Work Setting

Work will be conducted at various locations, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Essential Duties
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, maps, and specifications to determine operational methods.
  • Operate heavy machinery including backhoe excavators, bulldozers, graders, and compactors.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment.
  • Utilize computer-controlled equipment and GPS navigation systems.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and maintain logs of equipment usage.
  • Prepare reports on any incidents or accidents that occur on site.
Qualifications
  • Driver's License: Class 1 or A required
  • Experience with Equipment: Proficient in operating skidsteers and various types of heavy machinery.
  • Industry Experience: Background in industrial, commercial, or residential construction.
