About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at EightSix Network. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for leading a multifaceted pastry team and will have a high-quality volume background, preferably in a casino or hotel setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of cookies, pies, and cakes, and maintain the levels of production and guest expectations in the absence of the Pastry Chef.
  • Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform tasks to ensure an attractive and safe physical appearance of working areas, including cleaning and sanitizing all areas.
  • Ensure supplies and products are stocked as needed, including ensuring that supplies are stocked for the next shift.
  • Follow company procedures for preparing recipes and products.
  • Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a reputable company.
  • Proven ability to work in a large production kitchen.
  • Post-secondary education in a culinary-related discipline.
  • Red Seal Certificate Required.
  • Possess a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
  • Comply with the duties of workers or supervisors, as prescribed by Section 27 or 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Comply with all applicable EightSix Network Occupational Health and Safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Demonstrate a positive health and safety attitude to ensure EightSix Network continuously provides a safe entertainment destination for patrons and co-workers.
