Tolko Industries is seeking a highly skilled Woodlands Operations Supervisor - Operational Planning to join our Cariboo Woodlands Division in Williams Lake, British Columbia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a sustainable supply of lumber to our local sawmills.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement operational plans that meet mill volume requirements and ensure efficient access to wood supply.
- Manage quality control processes while working with other professionals, including Registered Professional Foresters, Registered Forester Technicians, hydrologists, and biologists.
- Build and maintain relationships with First Nation partners, tenure holders, landowners, government agencies, and communities.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve operational goals and objectives.
- Minimum 5 years of related industry experience.
- Post-secondary education in Forestry.
- Active Registered Professional Forester or Forester Technician designation.
- Experience in managing projects and leading a team to success.
- Good understanding of forest management, including planning, timber development, roads, and timber harvesting.
- Ability to build relationships with local contractors, stakeholders, and Indigenous Communities.
- Unwavering commitment to safety while working in the field.
- Self-directed time-management skills.
- Competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
