Job Title: Accounting Clerk

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team at A-one Driving Academy Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
Work Environment:

The Accounting Clerk will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Organized and efficient interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field
  • Experience with computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and laws
