About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CPA Trainee to join our Audit and Risk team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting audits to critically assess management and internal control processes, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations for enhanced risk management and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits to assess management and internal control processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for enhanced risk management and governance.
  • Execute audits in full recognition of the risks of the group, encompassing inherent risks, control risks, and internal/external environment and regulatory risks.
  • Conduct advisory engagements and other engagements as required, utilizing data analytics to improve quality and efficiencies.
  • Determine the impact of changing strategies, tactics, risks, and initiatives on audit, advisory, and investigative services.
  • Identify and evaluate the impact of new and emerging technology and technology risk on the organization's processes and control environment.
Requirements
  • A post-secondary degree in Business/Commerce specializing in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Successful candidates must be interested in pursuing their CPA designation.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred (prior internship/co-op experience will be considered a key asset).
