About the Role

This is a hybrid role within the Audit and Risk Management team at BMO, where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in accounting, auditing, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits to critically assess management and internal control processes, approving the nature, extent, and timing of the audit, its execution, and the formulation of insightful audit reports.
  • Report on audits to provide clear, concise, and memorable insights on issues and potential issues to assist management in fulfilling mandates.
  • Provide independent assurance on the quality and effectiveness of internal control, risk management, and governance systems and processes to support senior management and the Board in protecting BMO and its reputation.
Qualifications
  • A post-secondary degree in Business/Commerce specializing in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Successful candidates must be interested in pursuing their CPA designation.
  • This is an entry-level position targeted for new or recent graduates within 1 year of completing their educational program.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred (prior internship/co-op experience will be considered a key asset).
