Inventory Control Specialist – Distribution Centre

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Reporting: Generate and distribute monthly inventory reports to retail locations and management. Data Analysis: Evaluate data to identify opportunities for inventory optimization. Procurement: Produce daily reorder reports for stores and manage approved purchasing. ERP System Maintenance: Conduct regular reviews of ERP data to ensure accuracy. Warranty Coordination: Act as a liaison between retail locations and the warehouse regarding warranty matters. Communication: Foster effective communication with internal teams, retail locations, suppliers, and management. Continuous Improvement: Seek out opportunities to enhance inventory management processes and reduce operational costs. Documentation: Maintain precise and current inventory records, including item descriptions, quantities, and locations. Problem Solving: Proactively resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and logistics, to optimize inventory processes and achieve operational objectives.

Qualifications:

Experience: Prior experience in inventory management or related fields. Microsoft Office Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations, and Microsoft Outlook for communication. Inventory Management Knowledge: Strong grasp of inventory control principles and demand forecasting. ERP System Experience: Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory management and reporting. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing data and trends for informed inventory decisions. Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in inventory tracking and analysis. Problem Solving: Effective problem-solving skills for inventory-related challenges. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
