About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team at APS Metal Industries. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Transactions: Prepare and process financial transactions, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Systems: Maintain and update accounting systems, including QuickBooks and other financial software.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Certifications: Certified General Accountants (CGA) - level 1 or Certified Management Accountants (CMA) - level 1.
  • Skills: QuickBooks, MS Excel, MS Word, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
