Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our dynamic team at Value Partners Investments. As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day HR-related tasks of the company, while also contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Selection: Support end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, candidate sourcing, and interview coordination.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including data entry, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews.
  • HR Administration: Handle all administrative tasks related to HR, including personnel files, audits, and compliance with employment standards legislation and regulations.
  • Employee Relations: Provide advice and support to managers on employee issues, performance management, and interpretation of HR policies and programs.
  • Performance Management: Coach and guide managers on having performance conversations with employees, and assist in the development of performance management plans.
  • Employee Engagement: Promote a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives, and respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
  • Employee Climate: Monitor employee climate to identify issues/trends, and develop recommendations for problem solving with business units.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field, and 2-4 years' experience in a human resources role.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of employment standards legislation and regulations, exceptional attention to detail, communication and writing ability, and organizational skills.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency and working knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
