Job Title: Director of Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our team of mechanical engineers and designers in creating innovative and state-of-the-art products. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving engineering excellence and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Management: Set goals and objectives for team members, provide guidance and support, and ensure that they have the necessary resources and training to excel in their roles.
  2. Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products and improve existing ones, ensuring that they meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  3. Engineering Process Improvement: Lead the development and implementation of engineering processes and tools that optimize performance and efficiency, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Quality and Compliance: Ensure that all products meet quality and regulatory standards, and that all engineering processes and procedures are documented and up-to-date.
  5. Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to team members, and drive a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  6. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure that engineering goals and objectives are aligned with business objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in medical device product design and development, and minimum 3 years of management experience with direct reports.
  3. Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to handle complex problems, and experience with design of medical devices and ISO quality management systems.
