About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at SDM homes and Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate with other workers to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure durability
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat as required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience
  • Permanent employment with 32 to 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
