Overview:

As a Marine Sales Specialist, you will engage in various sales and customer service activities aimed at assisting customers in making informed purchasing decisions regarding boats and ATVs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all patrons.
  • Greet all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Consult with prospective buyers to assess their boating and/or ATV requirements.
  • Provide essential information to enable customers to make knowledgeable purchasing choices.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge through available resources, including brochures, online materials, and training sessions.
  • Maintain awareness of promotional items, current pricing, and marketing strategies.
  • Adhere to all training and guidelines related to sales techniques.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Service Department to ensure seamless delivery to customers.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding all sensitive and personal customer information.
  • Prepare the showroom daily, ensuring proper signage and cleanliness of all products.
  • Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of merchandise throughout the day.
  • Generate and manage leads using the provided Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including entering new customer data and documenting follow-up activities.
  • Participate in special events such as boat shows and promotional activities.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to the sales process accurately.
  • Achieve and exceed individual monthly sales targets based on various factors, including employment status and historical performance.
  • Meet company sales objectives on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain a tidy and professional workspace.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to perform calculations involving discounts and percentages.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor towards customers and colleagues.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
  • Proficiency in operating computer systems and Point of Sale registers.
