Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Trading Credit Risk, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Trading Credit Risk. Your primary responsibility will be managing a diverse portfolio of trading relationships that bolster our Capital Markets operations across various global locations. Your role will involve:
- Credit Risk Adjudication: Evaluating and endorsing credit applications from Corporate Banking, ensuring that trading facilities are structured effectively and backed by comprehensive analysis of financial and market data.
- Advisory Role: Providing expert advice to Corporate Banking relationship managers and other risk management professionals regarding the credit risks tied to derivative products and financing solutions.
- Industry Knowledge Enhancement: Conducting thorough research on both new and existing derivative products and financing solutions to identify potential risks, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Policy Development: Making informed recommendations regarding credit policies relevant to your portfolio, and collaborating with legal and documentation teams to refine processes related to derivative and financing products.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven background in trading credit risk adjudication, with a strong grasp of various trading room products, including derivatives and financing options.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of capital market products such as OTC derivatives and securities financing transactions.
- Education: A degree in Business, Commerce, Financial Risk Management, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to senior management.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional critical thinking skills that inform decision-making processes.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset that values collective success and inclusive teamwork.
