Risk Modeling Manager

At Bank of Montreal, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Credit Risk Modeling. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced data science models to support our credit risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement machine learning algorithms to predict credit risk and identify potential areas of concern.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data engineering and data science solutions.
- Develop and maintain complex mathematical models to analyze and mitigate credit risk.
- Work with senior management to develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve credit risk management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data science and machine learning.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with big data technologies and data engineering.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data warehousing.
- Knowledge of credit risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
