At Schlegel Villages, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to lead our nursing team as Assistant Director of Nursing Care. This is an exciting opportunity to join our long-term care village team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
As Assistant Director of Nursing Care, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our nursing department, ensuring the highest quality of care and services to our residents. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in geriatric nursing and experience in leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting. You will have a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members, and be able to understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Assistant Director of Nursing Care role.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing leadership and direction to the nursing department
- Developing and implementing care plans that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and services
- Recruiting, training, and supervising nursing staff
- Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations
