Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Project Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multi-disciplined teams for EPC or EPCM projects across various regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on mineral processing and high voltage systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead electrical engineering teams for significant-scale studies and EPCM projects.
  2. Develop and assess project labor and material estimates.
  3. Create electrical equipment specifications and conduct technical bid evaluations.
  4. Conduct and verify calculations, including short circuit and voltage drop analyses.
  5. Review vendor drawings and address related issues.
  6. Attend factory acceptance tests as a witness.
  7. Offer engineering support during construction phases.
  8. Manage schedules, estimates, and manpower forecasts.
  9. Travel as necessary to ensure project success.
Requirements:
  1. Hold a professional engineer registration in Canada.
  2. Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  3. Have at least 15 years of experience in an EPC or EPCM setting.
  4. Preferably have experience in mineral processing; other heavy industrial experience may be considered.
  5. Ideally have experience with power systems up to high voltage and familiarity with ETAP software.
  6. Knowledgeable about electrical codes and regulations.
  7. Demonstrate supervisory experience.
  8. Proficient in English with strong written and oral communication abilities.
