Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team at GTA Skilled Trades as a Packaging Machine Mechanic. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek, offering a competitive compensation package, including dental and health care plans, as well as group insurance benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair packaging machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, to prevent downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with packaging machinery, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Bondable and willing to undergo a basic security clearance.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
