Job Title: Supply Education Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Supply Education Assistant to join our team at the Toronto Catholic District School Board. As a Supply Education Assistant, you will provide support to students with special needs in a variety of educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those with autism, behavioral, speech, hearing, learning disabilities, and developmental delays.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and mobility.
  • Support students with academic tasks, such as homework, reading, and writing.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans.
Requirements:
  • Educational Support Diploma or related field of study.
  • A minimum of one (1) year working experience with individuals with special needs or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform multiple activities without assistance, including walking/standing for long periods, pushing/pulling up to 65kg, frequent reaching, bending, kneeling movements, etc.
  • Pastoral Reference Letter from a Roman Catholic Parish, indicating you are a practicing Roman Catholic (dated within the past 12 months), or a Baptismal Certificate from a Roman Catholic Church.
Working Conditions:

The daily rate of pay is $165.53. Working hours are 6 hours and 40 minutes per day, excluding unpaid lunch break.
