Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Victoria Education Centre Montessori & Child Care. The successful candidate will assist in creating a nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Assist in keeping records and maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a child care setting
  • First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
Work Environment

Our child care centre is a non-smoking environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and may be required to bend, crouch, or kneel.
