Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Loblaw Companies Ltd - Head Office. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with other distribution centers as needed
  • Track and coordinate maintenance reports, ensuring all safety and maintenance requirements are met
  • Conduct Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental audits, ensuring all requirements are completed throughout the audit year
  • Ensure all Loblaw resources are equipped with functioning units and technology
  • Maximize trailer staging and parking, coordinating with 3PL carriers as needed
  • Document and investigate unreported damages
  • Ensure all spills in the yard are cleaned up as needed
  • Coordinate dunnage movement and trailer washing program
  • Attend Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Ability to work in multiple systems and applications, with a quick learning curve
  • Team player with a willingness to assist others when needed
  • Above-average decision-making skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Prior experience in a transportation environment is preferred
