About the Role

As a Production Supervisor at Rain Carbon, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient production processes within our chemical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide a team of operating personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work atmosphere.
  • Manage payroll and vacation documentation for your team members, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Utilize SAP to create and track production process orders, maintaining clear communication and visibility throughout the workflow.
  • Coordinate and oversee overtime arrangements, meticulously updating overtime records for compliance and reporting purposes.

Production Oversight and Quality Assurance:

  • Address stage 1 grievances promptly and effectively, upholding company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor raw material inventory levels and initiate reordering processes to prevent disruptions in production.
  • Actively participate in supervisor meetings and lead regular safety meetings, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
  • Provide comprehensive training to operating personnel, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Continuously monitor equipment operation, identifying potential issues and prioritizing maintenance needs.
  • Execute daily production instructions with precision, adhering to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Analyze lab test results and take appropriate action when deviations from specifications are detected.
  • Investigate and follow up on corrective actions for product quality nonconformances, ensuring timely resolution and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Production Planner to ensure seamless execution of daily production instructions.

Requirements:

  • A Chemical Engineering background is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous operations within a chemical manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required for effective communication.

Technical Skills:

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams).
  • Familiarity with SAP software is a valuable asset.
