Meet Your Future Team: The 3D Creative team at Arc'teryx is a cohesive unit dedicated to producing top-tier digital assets for both internal and external stakeholders. We prioritize creativity, collaboration, and innovation, enhancing workflows and uncovering new opportunities throughout the product development and commercialization phases.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Developing precise digital representations of physical products, materials, and trims while ensuring the integrity and upkeep of all associated libraries.
  • Incorporating surface design elements, including material textures and trims, into 3D renderings and assisting with revisions as necessary.
  • Facilitating the creation of advanced renderings; establishing and maintaining rendering scenarios, including lighting setups.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of 3D avatars, poses, and scanned objects for both development and marketing purposes.
  • Acting as a resource for CLO3D across the design team, aiding new users and disseminating best practices as needed.
  • Implementing checkpoints throughout the asset creation process to guarantee compliance and approval from relevant partners.
  • Identifying opportunities to minimize sampling through the application of 3D technology.
  • Adhering to Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the supply chain.

Future Projects:
  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners on various 3D initiatives as required.
  • Exploring innovative methods to enhance final renders, the application of 3D assets, and their organization and management.
  • Researching, assessing, and sharing advanced digital creation technologies that align with design and company goals.

Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in design, graphic arts, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing 3D creation technologies, preferably in a technical apparel design context.
  • Proficiency in various technologies, including CLO3D/VStitcher, Substance Suite (Designer and Sampler), Modo, Blender, Unreal, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with UV map exports and experience with the interoperability of 3D file types across different DDCs.
  • Understanding of the design and development process.
  • Expertise in producing photo-realistic renders of 3D objects.
  • Able to translate complex technical concepts into demonstrations and documented processes for knowledge sharing.
  • Experience with basic scripting (e.g., Python) is a plus.
  • Technical and creative skills in pattern making and prototyping (knowledge of Gerber is advantageous).
  • Proactive in identifying root causes of issues and pursuing optimal solutions with a commitment to integrity.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible in the face of ambiguity.
  • Ability to balance independence with collaboration.
