Network Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our team at Georgian College. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting our college-wide LAN, WAN, Internet edge, and cloud network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and deploying network systems constrained by compliance standards such as PCI and Georgian procedures
- Providing resolutions and final-level support for issues escalated from front-line support
- Researching solutions, diagnosing problems, and designing/modifying systems where necessary
- Implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems, including telephony and video services
- Designing networking connectivity and support of network operations in the cloud
- Maintaining current specialized knowledge of computer and communication hardware and software
Qualifications:
- Three-year post-secondary diploma/degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a relevant field
- CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional (Routing and Switching/Enterprise Infrastructure)
- Minimum of five years' IT experience with designing, architecting, and deploying robust, redundant, and high-availability network infrastructure
- Experience with networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless Access Points, and strong understanding of the OSI reference model
