We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at DeafBlind Ontario Services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized support to individuals with sensory loss, promoting independence and enriching their lives.
- Advocate on behalf of individuals, ensuring their unique needs and goals are met.
- Collaborate with colleagues, family members, and guardians to provide holistic support.
- Develop and implement behavioral strategies, tracking and reporting progress.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, personal care, and financial management.
- Embody the philosophy of 'do with not for,' empowering individuals to realize their potential.
- Minimum 1-year post-secondary education.
- Up to one year of related work experience.
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
