Role Overview:

The Shift Manager serves as the pivotal leader during shifts, concentrating on achieving sales and profitability goals while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and effective team management. Reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager (RGM), the Shift Manager oversees the daily operations during assigned shifts and directly supervises a team of employees.

Key Responsibilities:

FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE

  • Adheres to all cash handling and security protocols (e.g., safe management, cash drawer operations).
  • Conducts regular inventory assessments through Daily and Weekly inspections.
  • Manages the receipt of inventory deliveries.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Inspires and guides Team Members to surpass customer expectations by providing prompt, friendly service in a clean environment.

TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Offers constructive feedback and coaching to Team Members to enhance their skills and improve overall restaurant performance.

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

  • Sets a positive example for Team Members by diligently executing the shift plan and achieving operational objectives.
  • Oversees the efficient and precise preparation and sale of menu items to ensure timely service within established guidelines.
  • Encourages Team Members throughout the shift across various workstations.
  • Analyzes restaurant performance metrics to identify strengths and areas needing improvement.
  • Ensures compliance with operational and brand standards.

*May perform Team Member duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to manage long and/or irregular shifts as necessary for optimal restaurant operations.
