Position Overview

Mile Hub Transport Ltd is seeking a dedicated Truck Dispatcher to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record Management: Ensure the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries.
  • Workload Monitoring: Maintain detailed work records and logs while overseeing personnel workloads and locations.
  • General Office Duties: Perform essential office tasks and provide excellent customer service.
  • Traffic Advisory: Advise vehicle operators on traffic conditions and other potential issues.
  • Personnel Dispatch: Dispatch personnel according to established schedules and work orders, including emergency situations.
  • Issue Follow-Up: Address and follow up on any issues related to work orders.
  • Shipment Tracking: Keep accurate records of shipments and deliveries.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Possess knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and highway trucking rules.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive work records for vehicle operators.
  • Information Processing: Process and transmit instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to urgent calls from individuals in life-threatening situations requiring assistance.
  • Assignment Scheduling: Schedule assignments and coordinate the activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
  • Customer Communication: Contact customers to provide requested notifications.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee a team of 11-15 personnel.

Technical Skills

Proficient in using dispatch management service software and electronic mail.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
