About the Job

The Home Delivery Driver is a key role in our Garden Centre team, responsible for delivering and receiving product in excellent condition as per our corporate policies and delivery best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cube van to deliver and receive product in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload product from vehicles, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Conduct product transfers and deliveries between Sheridan locations across the GTA.
  • Obey all MTO requirements and maintain organized documentation of all trucking and delivery related information.
  • Work in conjunction with Store Management and the Joint Health & Safety Committee to ensure a safe work environment for all.
  • Actively seek to increase knowledge base of Sheridan Nurseries products and services.
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a G class license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Experience driving a truck or cube van in a variety of different road and weather conditions.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize multiple tasks and situations with effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Prior experience working in customer-facing roles.
  • Forklift experience an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a variety of weather conditions.
