We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse I to join our team at Central Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care and treatment services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care and treatment services to physically ill, disabled, and/or cognitively impaired clients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to promote person-and family-centered care and improve worker and patient safety.
- Participate in the development and implementation of care plans that meet the unique needs of our clients.
- Administer medications, including IM, IV, and subcutaneous injections, and provide wound care management.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Graduation from a practical nursing program approved by Central Health.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated competency in working to the full scope of practice and standards of care relevant to the designated client population.
This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment, with potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and/or other contagion. You will also be required to work in awkward or cramped positions to assist with care.
