About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Taunton Commercial Bakery Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for our bakery products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing and cutting
  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to meet customer specifications
  • Trim and prepare standard cuts of meat for packaging and sale
  • Wrap and package prepared meats for distribution
  • Remove bones from meat and cut poultry into parts
  • Weigh meats for sale and price meat products accurately
  • Clean and prepare fish and shellfish for sale
  • Cut fish into steaks and fillets for our bakery products
  • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers as needed
  • Grind meats and make special sausages for our customers
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in meat cutting and preparation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Work Environment

Our bakery operates 40 hours per week, and we offer a permanent work term with opportunities for advancement.
