About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Taunton Commercial Bakery Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and processing meats for our bakery products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Cut and trim carcasses, sides, and quarters to produce standard cuts of meat.
  • Wrap and package prepared meats for distribution.
  • Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale.
  • Cut poultry into parts and price meat products.
  • Clean and prepare fish and shellfish for processing.
  • Cut fish into steaks and fillets.
  • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers to ensure efficient production.
  • Grind meats and make special sausages as required.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English.
