About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at SouthX Transport Inc. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
