Hardware Store Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Hardware Store Sales Associate to join our team at Sioux Lookout Home Hardware Building Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, and maintaining sales records for inventory control.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet customers, discuss merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease, and provide recommendations to meet their needs.
- Sales Transactions: Operate cash registers, conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce, and estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates.
- Inventory Control: Maintain sales records for inventory control, operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems, and ensure accurate stock levels.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or sales environment, with a strong focus on customer service and sales skills.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
