We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect to join our team at Diamond Schmitt Architects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare design and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement outstanding healthcare designs that meet the needs of our clients and users.
  • Collaborate with clients and user groups to facilitate the design process and ensure that their needs are met.
  • Work independently and provide mentorship to junior staff to ensure the success of our projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and specification writers to deliver high-quality designs and documentation.
  • Prepare and manage drawings in a REVIT environment.

Qualifications:

  • More than eight years of experience in an environment of design excellence, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Masters-level degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • Evidence of continuing education in the field of healthcare design, including training in Evidence-Based Design Accreditation (EDAC) and LEAN principles.
  • Experience with data management programs, such as dRofus, and proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Contract Administration experience and eligibility for Membership in the OAA are considered assets.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively in both official languages.
