Position Overview: The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the production processes within our facility. This position is vital for ensuring that our production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to meet production schedules and coordinate activities within the manufacturing plant.
- Optimize equipment efficiency to fulfill all production requirements.
- Collaborate with Supervisors across different shifts to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide daily updates to Management regarding quality, production volume, personnel matters, safety, and other critical issues.
- Conduct training and performance evaluations for employees on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Address personnel issues and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a secure working environment.
- Troubleshoot machinery and equipment issues as they arise.
- Resolve production discrepancies and conflicts effectively.
- Request necessary materials and supplies for production.
- Prepare and submit production reports as required.
- Participate in production meetings and contribute to discussions.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams on machinery and equipment concerns.
- Lead projects assigned by the Plant Manager aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with staff and other departments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
- A degree or diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, coaching, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience in quality assurance and process improvement methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in handling personnel matters, including disciplinary actions and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ability to motivate and work effectively within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Compensation will be based on experience.
