Job Summary:

As a Financial Accountant at Great Canadian Entertainment, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for assigned sites. Under the guidance of the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for reconciling cash generated by slots and table games, preparing monthly working papers, and maintaining accounting schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile cash and gaming revenue journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with Company policies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheet reconciliations and audit schedules.
  • Develop and maintain accounting schedules, including updating and making entries as required.
  • Provide analysis and support for departmental budgeting and operational planning.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or finance, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of JDE and Google Looker is an asset.
