Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team at Tapis Venture. This role involves maintaining and repairing various types of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

The position is set in a noisy environment, typical of industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve issues related to machinery performance.
  • Replace or repair faulty components of machinery.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Utilize hoisting and lifting equipment safely.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with automated and robotic systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial engines.
Specialization Areas
  • Proficient in start-up and testing procedures.
  • Skilled in rigging and handling machinery.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and computerized alignment.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Physical Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
