About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Construction Assistant at Nehru Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of construction, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and performing routine maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as concrete and asphalt, from trucks and equipment.
  • Erecting Scaffolding: Help to erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and catwalks to ensure safe access to construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work, including repairing and replacing equipment, and removing rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Assisting in Construction Tasks: Assist in drilling and blasting rock, framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Traffic Control: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure safe and efficient movement of people and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring repetitive tasks.
