ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The primary responsibility of the analyst is to ensure that the data necessary for calculating PSP's investment returns is effectively integrated into the analytical tools. You will collaborate with support teams to enhance data quality, streamline processes, and assist in investigative efforts. You will ensure the accuracy and availability of reported figures and contribute to the implementation of enhancements to meet organizational goals.
As a Performance Measurement Analyst, you will:
- Validate the accuracy of the daily and monthly calculation cycles across various systems.
- Conduct necessary validations to guarantee data integrity.
- Assist in generating analysis and performance reports for public market managers.
- Establish controls and develop automation processes essential for efficient report generation.
- Work closely with support teams to enhance data quality at the source.
- Engage in the investigation and enhancement of upstream team processes.
- Strive to elevate our service offerings.
- Maintain comprehensive procedural documentation.
- Provide assistance to the team in addressing ad hoc requests and projects.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline.
- Additional training in a technology-related field is a plus.
- Enrollment in CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in SQL and demonstrated skills in Excel.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the financial sector; the job level will be determined based on the candidate's experience.
- Understanding of both private and public capital markets.
- Strong mathematical skills and familiarity with various financial instruments.
- Knowledge of performance measurement systems such as StatPro (SPA) is beneficial.
- Demonstrated autonomy, curiosity, and proactivity.
- Effective communication skills and adaptability.
- Fluency in English and French (or a willingness to learn).
