We are excited to announce the opening of a new transitional care center in partnership with Nova Scotia Health, designed specifically for patients who are transitioning from hospital care to home/community settings.
We are currently seeking a Housekeeping & Laundry Aid to contribute to our Transitional Care Centre team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, laundry, and basic maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all areas, including floors, furniture, and restrooms.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with established guidelines.
- Maintain supply levels in patient rooms and common areas.
- Support a culture of safety by adhering to all safety protocols and reporting hazards.
- Assist with the movement and arrangement of furniture and equipment as needed.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in environmental services
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry within a healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Attention to detail and responsible behavior
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
