Exciting Opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Bayshore Medical Personnel in Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule, with day shifts only (no nights, no weekends). As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to our clients in a primary health care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment, nursing diagnosis, and development of care plans
  • Crisis intervention and counseling services
  • Life skills programming and individual/group therapy sessions
  • Conducting bio-psychosocial assessments and medication management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized college or university
  • A certificate in Mental Health Nursing or certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association
  • A Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association
  • Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent
