Rehabilitation Therapist

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality care to our clients. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in planning, developing, and implementing meaningful recreation programs and leisure activities that address the physical, social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and cultural needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess client needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans to promote psychosocial health and recovery.
- Provide therapeutic recreation interventions and leisure experiences to restore leisure functioning and promote community integration.
- Liaise with clients, community resources, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to promote leisure and recreational programming for mental health populations.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities to enhance the delivery of client care and promote evidence-based practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy from an accredited university.
- Three years of recent experience working with mental health populations.
- Eligibility for membership in the BC Therapeutic Recreation Association.
- Valid BC Driver's License and personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
