About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Phlebotomist (Donor Care Associate) to join our dynamic Donor Centre team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations from our generous donors.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct registration and confidential screening of donors to determine eligibility, fostering a positive donor experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service by monitoring donors for safety and comfort throughout the donation process, respecting their privacy.
- Ensure safe processing and handling of blood products in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and volunteers to facilitate the collection of whole blood and apheresis blood components.
- Assist in setting up booths, tables, and equipment for mobile donor events within our communities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized phlebotomy program is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift up to 10 kg (22 lbs).
