About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to provide expert advice and support to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (IPC) on various technology-related projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct technical analyses of emerging technologies, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and privacy enhancing technologies.
- Provide research and analysis on leading-edge information technologies to support the work of the IPC.
- Identify and analyze trends in cybersecurity threats and risk mitigation measures.
- Develop and deliver guidance and educational materials on topics such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and privacy enhancing technologies.
- Support the IPC's Tribunal with regards to complaints, investigation, and appeals.
- Extensive knowledge of current and emerging information technologies and their potential impacts on data access and privacy.
- Strong knowledge of provincial, national, and international technical discussions concerning cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
- Experience in providing sound research, analysis, evaluation, and recommendations to expert and non-expert audiences.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in plain language.
